Practical details
The honest logistics, before you ever have to ask.
Format and location
All work happens via secure telehealth. I am licensed in Minnesota and can practice in other Counseling Compact states through a privilege to practice. If I am not already privileged in your state, I may be able to add it. Coaching is available in the same states.
Payment
This is a private pay practice. I do not bill insurance, participate in networks, or provide superbills. The therapy intensive is $6,000. The coaching program is $9,000 for the six-month container and $16,000 for the twelve-month container; an additional session between Deep Sessions, when one is scheduled, is $450. Therapy is paid in full before the Intake session. For coaching, pay in full is preferred; a plan of three payments is available on the six-month container, and the twelve-month container is paid in full. Every agreement includes a short window after signing, and again after your first session, in which you can withdraw. Exact terms live in the service agreements you sign before any work begins.
Your right to a Good Faith Estimate
This notice applies to therapy. Coaching is not a health care service.
You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for health care items and services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your health care service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
Scheduling
Sessions are scheduled directly with me once a container begins. Coaching Deep Sessions can be rescheduled with 48 hours' notice; inside that window the session counts as held. Intensive sessions are scheduled as one block. Rescheduling and cancellation terms are set out in your agreement, and they are designed to protect the structure of the work, not to penalize you.
Confidentiality
Therapy is confidential and protected as healthcare under law, with the standard legal exceptions, which are reviewed in informed consent. Coaching is held confidentially by agreement, but coaching is not healthcare and is not covered by the same legal protections. Both are explained plainly in your agreement before you sign anything.
Frequently asked, actually
Why intensives instead of weekly therapy?
Because for the right person at the right time, concentration works. A focused container with built-in integration time can do what months of weekly sessions sometimes cannot. And when weekly therapy is what is clinically indicated, I say so and refer you well.
Can I do therapy and coaching at the same time?
No. One container at a time, always. The separation is ethical and clinical, and it protects you.
Is coaching just cheaper therapy?
No, and it is priced accordingly on purpose. They do different jobs. Therapy restores stability when something has been disrupted. Coaching builds alignment once stability is established. The discernment process sorts out which one fits your season.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Not in the usual sense. Entry is through the Discernment Application, and if the fit looks right, a discernment conversation follows. It costs nothing, but it is a mutual discernment, not a sales call.
Do you see clients outside Minnesota?
Yes, by telehealth. I am licensed in Minnesota, and through the Counseling Compact I can practice in other participating states with a privilege to practice. If I am not already privileged in your state, reach out. I may be able to add it, and I will tell you plainly if I can’t. Coaching follows the same states.
Do you take insurance?
No. Private pay keeps the work independent of diagnosis requirements and session limits, which matters for how this practice works.
What if I am in crisis?
Then this practice is not the right resource, and speed matters. Call or text 988, or go to your nearest emergency room. When things have stabilized, the doorway here remains open.
