About Jill
I am Jill Decker, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Minnesota. I have worked in behavioral health for over 25 years, and for nearly 20 of them I have specialized in co-occurring substance use and mental health: through the crisis, through the stabilizing, through the long rebuilding of a life.
This practice grew out of what I kept seeing on the far side of that work. People would get stable. They would do everything right. And then, quietly, sometimes years later, a different question would arrive: is this it? The treatment world had little to offer them, because the treatment world is built for the emergency. The after has almost nothing built for it.
Jill Decker, LLC exists for the after. I offer two forms of work, held strictly separate: a concentrated therapy intensive for seasons when something has been disrupted, and a long-arc coaching container for growth once stability is established. Both are relational, both are paced deliberately, and both take the whole person seriously: mind, body, and the life of meaning. The practice is telehealth-based, private pay, and intentionally small.
About that last part. I am spiritually open and I never prescribe the form. Some of my clients pray, some meditate, some walk in the woods, some want nothing to do with any of it. Where your relationship with the Divine, as you define it, is part of how you make meaning, it is welcome in the work. Where it is not, the work is whole without it.
Live from choice, not adaptation.
